Tips

Bowl of Buffalo Cauliflower Tacos Filling

Spread cauliflower Evenly

Make sure that you bake the cauliflower in a single layer on the baking sheet. This will ensure that the cauliflower cooks evenly.

Stir halfway through baking

Make sure to turn the cauliflower halfway through cooking so that it crisps on both sides!

cooking time

Cooking time may vary depending on the size of your cauliflower pieces. So adjust the baking time as needed. You want the outside of the cauliflower to be crispy, with a tender center of the fork.

Variations

Change the spices

Feel free to add a little pre-made taco seasoning or cajun seasoning for extra flavor. I used a mixture of salt, paprika, and garlic salt, but you can use your own favorite seasonings to add all sorts of new flavors to this recipe.

Adjust the seasoning level

Everyone has a different seasoning preference, so make sure you tune in to your own taste. For a milder taste, you can reduce the amount of hot sauce or choose a milder brand. I used Frank's Hot Buffalo Sauce, but you can use whatever brand you prefer.

Mix the toppings together

I kept the toppings relatively simple, but you can get as creative as you want. Some great vegetarian taco toppings include:

  • Salad vegetables
  • Vegan ranch or blue cheese dressing (like this one!)
  • Fried vegetables – such as zucchini, mushrooms, and onions.
  • Fried peppers and onions
  • All the fresh herbs you like!

frequently asked Questions

Why do you reheat tortillas for tacos?

Reheating makes the tortillas softer and more flexible. It also gives the tortillas more flavor! There's no need to reheat your tortillas, but you probably won't come back once you've tried them.

Do these tacos make good leftovers?

Yes sir. I recommend keeping each taco component, including your buffalo cauliflower, in its own container so the tacos don't get mushy. They stay fine for 3-4 days.

Heat the buffalo cauliflower bites in the oven – they'll go limp in the microwave. Then assemble the tacos when you are ready to eat.

How do you heat the buffalo cauliflower canapes?

Spread the remaining cauliflower pieces on a baking sheet and cover with aluminum foil. This will prevent them from drying out in the oven. Bake at 350 for 5-10 minutes, or until heated through.
